Professional translation into German

A German translator who works professionally is confronted every day with different texts that need to be translated into German. In many cases, these are contracts, notarial documents, general terms and conditions, data protection regulations, operating instructions, etc. In short, texts from the economic, technical and legal fields. And it is precisely in these scientific fields that he must develop a profound insight. Only in this way can he acquire the necessary routine that makes successful translation work possible.

Translations into and from German

Once the translator has achieved this routine and gained enough professional experience over the years, he has become familiar with essential aspects of English, American and German culture. On this basis, he can offer translations that sound like a professionally written text. This is because he does not use the wording of a translator, but that of an author and copywriter.

This is an essential difference, especially for marketing and advertising texts. But clear and easily understandable sentences are also an added value for the consumer in technical texts such as operating instructions. Which in this context also strengthens the company’s image.

Internationalization through competent translations

The demand for high-quality technical translations into German is no longer a rarity these days. Many companies are involved on an international level. They want to win new customers and are looking for new sales markets abroad. The professional German translator plays a decisive role in this. Through his translations, he expands the company’s ability to act and its entrepreneurial scope. Contracts have to be translated into the other language, marketing strategies have to be extended and the own website has to be optimized for the potential customer. Translators and interpreters are also used for the internal and external communication of companies. Business correspondence often requires translation by an experienced linguist with relevant professional experience.

What exactly is “translating” and how does it differ from “interpreting”?

Translation involves transferring a source text into the target text in the desired language. The translator usually receives the texts in written form in a file format such as PDF, TXT, XLS, JPEG, GIF, as a PowerPoint file, as a Word file or as a printout. The created translation is corrigible and can be checked by another translator through so-called proofreading. Interpreting, on the other hand, is the process of translating sentences that are only available for a short time from one language into another. Interpreters are therefore usually used to translate the spoken word during oral negotiations or interviews.

Spanish Translator for SEO Texts

Are you looking for a Spanish translator for SEO texts to optimize your website or online shop? fh-translations.com offers the search engine optimized translation of your unique content. Thus you create an added value also for Internet users of Google & Co. abroad by your presence in the World Wide Web.

Unique and appealing SEO texts increase the visibility of websites in search engines. The information is made available to the prospective customer faster and increases the prestige of each enterprise. Topic-relevant contents to a certain search term are optimally linked with each other. This creates a remarkable added value for both the search engine and the reader.

The optimal visibility of the web contents by a professional Spanish translation

The Internet is a platform that goes far beyond regional events. Any kind of communication and interaction can take place internationally as well as in Spain or South America. The possibility of a Spanish translation of the website removes existing language barriers. This is the ideal way to attract new readers. The Spanish translator for SEO texts creates the translation of the content of a website or online shop. However, the content of the new text is not just a mere word-to-word translation from the source text. The information is search engine optimized for the reader and the search engine of the respective country.

An experienced Spanish translator for SEO texts enables readers to pay more attention to the company and the product.

A well-written blog is an ideal means of communication and a reliable marketing strategy. The content is presented to the prospective customer as text, image, video, in speech form or via links. The reach of the content created is, however, limited to one language and thus related to the location of a few countries. However, the Internet can do more if one considers offering the information in several languages and thereby increasing its sphere of influence. The only important thing is to find a language expert who is also familiar with writing Spanish SEO texts.

The translation of SEO texts cannot be equated with an ordinary translation of a technical or economic text. The contents of the new language version are addressed to two addressees at the same time. On the one hand, there is the reader for whom the content is written. On the other hand, there is the search engine that brings the text to the interested party. The prerequisite for this is a good positioning in the search list.

The Spanish translator for SEO texts must therefore pay attention to the use of the correct Spanish or German keywords. He must create a wording that is relevant to the topic and also takes into account the technical terms of the language. This creative way of translating increases visibility in search engines such as Google for Spanish-speaking consumers. It supports the success of the presence on the Internet and shows its great growth potential.

Example of a translation of the terms and conditions English-German

Terms and Conditions are pre-formulated contract terms intended to facilitate the business relationship of the parties. They are different from the individual agreements, which are negotiated in detail. In international business, the question of which legal rules apply across borders and in which court the contractual claims can be made are increasingly emerging. Therefore, clear and easy-to-understand translations of the terms and conditions for the successful completion of an undertaking are a sensible aspect. Below is an example of a translation of the terms and conditions English-German.

When translating the general terms and conditions from English into German, a responsible transfer to the target language is decisive. The English translator must be able to understand the content of the legal text well, so that it comes to a matching translation. Finally, in the new contract language should be the same conditions as they convey the original terms and conditions.

High text quality of the terms and conditions for a successful transaction

General terms and conditions consist of a certain number of pre-formulated contract terms. They are handed over to the other party before and / or upon conclusion of the contract and do not need to be renegotiated. The precise translation of the terms and conditions enormously simplifies international business dealings. On the one hand, attention is paid to a very accurate translation. The text of the contract should also have the same conditions in the target language. On the other hand, the technical terminology of the English text is replaced by sector-specific terms of the target country. This makes it easier for the contractor to understand the translation. He thus receives an easy-to-read text that clearly reflects the general terms and conditions.

In the table below you will find an example of a translation of the terms and conditions from English into German. The original English text is in the left column. The right column shows the German translation of the English terms and conditions.

English to German translation of contracts

A contract is an agreement between at least two parties governing a conduct or a legal transaction under the Act. Its content is based on two consensual declarations (offer and acceptance) and is carried by at least two persons. If a contract is agreed across borders, a professional and expertly drafted translation of the texts is necessary. When concluding a contract with English and German business partners, it is advantageous to have an English to German translation of contracts and their clauses. Thus, there is more transparency in business dealings and the regulation of the contractual relationship tends to be more trustworthy and clearer.

Contracts that are concluded across national borders can come in a variety of forms. For example, there are cases where the award of a contract is subject to a tendering procedure. This is the public invitation to tender for the conditions (terms of delivery, conditions of service etc.) specified in the tender (submission). European tenders and their access are governed by the Agreement on Government Procurement. A distinction can be made between public and restricted tenders, whereby the number of companies that can submit tenders is limited. Public-law institutions are usually subject to a call for tenders, but more and more companies in private law are using this kind of opportunity for economic reasons.

The English to German translation of contracts plays an important role in new and growing business relationships at European and international level.

Types of written contracts that often require translation into another language:

  • Purchase contract
  • Employment contract
  • Service and work contract
  • Donation contract
  • Rental contract
  • Contract of guarantee

What are the main points of an English to German translation of contracts?

When translating the English contract text into German, such as a sales contract, the essential content consists of the translation of the definition of the object of purchase, such as the movable or immovable property or the right, the translation of the duties and rights of the buyer and the seller and the fair presentation of the negotiated purchase price.

An English to German translation of contracts such as a contract of employment is always necessary if the employee has found his future employer based abroad. The content of this type of translation essentially covers phrases about the start of work, working and probationary periods, activities and notice periods, as well as regulations such as leave, bonus agreements, overtime, etc.

In addition to English-German translation, fh-translations.com also offers contract translation in French, Spanish and Italian.

Service and work contracts may seem at first glance to have the same meaning, but are governed differently by law. For a contract for work, the success of an agreed work is owed. For a service contract, only the activity or work is contractually agreed. In both cases, the client is obliged to pay the agreed remuneration. English translations are therefore often used in the context of labor law.

In the case of a donation contract, the so-called donor enters into an obligation to transfer the donated person a certain donation item free of charge. Reasons for a donation can be personal, but also tax benefits. Under the Inheritance and Gift Tax Act, they are taxable and the allowances are precisely regulated.

The translation of an English contract text into German as a lease defines the name and address of the landlord and the tenant, represents in detail the rented premises and rented objects and deals with the rental period, the agreed rental price and the distribution of heating and operating costs. In particular, the rights and obligations of the landlord and tenant (livestock, use of the garden, information, etc.) and notice periods constitute an integral part of the professional translation of a lease.

The guarantee agreement commits the so-called guarantor to the creditor for the fulfillment of the liabilities of a third party. If, for example, a credit company decides for a guarantee, it concludes a surety bond with the guarantor. There, all the provisions are regulated, that must be respected by him, if the third party (debtor) does not fulfill his obligations. Consequently, the purpose of such a contract is to secure the creditor in the event of a debtor’s default. The translation of guarantee contracts is one of the legal translations or translations of legal texts and is prepared by experienced translators.

Guests from home and abroad are increasingly attracted to hit the road, as shown by the number of overnight stays in the hotel and restaurant industry. The continuing positive development, however, is also associated with a wide range of comprehensive service for the visitor. The provider is keen that his service also speaks the language of the guest. Thus, reliable translations such as the English-German translation of tourist texts are an important factor.

Today, tourism is one of the largest economic sectors, with sales of approximately $ 623 million. The word tourism (French “tourisme”, Italian “turismo”, Spanish “turismo” and German “Tourismus”) has its origins in French, where the noun “le tour” means “trip” or “wanderings”.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) defines tourism as “the activities of a person traveling to a place outside their habitual environment for less than a certain period of time for leisure and other purposes not related to the performance of a paid activity from the place visited“.

We all have already had a lot of experience with international and national tourism. The beautiful experiences often accompany us for years and the photo album or the stored images on the smartphone and tablet are an optimal reminder. Provided of course, the right trip and the right accommodation could also be found in the variety of offers. If the services do not meet the desired expectations, the disappointment is inevitable.

Who needs a translation in the field of tourism and travel?

The tourism and travel industry, which specifically targets foreign-language tourists and visitors from abroad, is expanding the base of those interested through the professional translation of their service catalog. It will increase the number of foreign guests, which will boost the turnover of the gastronomy and hotel industry and strengthen the region.

Translations of tourist texts are therefore needed by service providers and providers of the travel and catering branch, who want to draw the attention of foreign tourists to their area and their services. First and foremost, it is about the translation of the homepage and websites of a resort, hotel or restaurant. The reader receives information about regional specialties, unique accommodations and the culinary delights of the region. Descriptions of tourist activities and attractions are offered which add value to the unforgettable stay.

The English-German translation of tourist texts, such as hotel and guesthouse websites, must appeal to the reader and give him a convincing feeling about the journey.

Terms such as art and culture, leisure and recreation as well as the hotel and catering industry are closely linked to tourism and its quality. Tourism marketing plays an important role in bringing this quality need to the traveler and attracting his attention and interest.
